Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Shipbuilding Welder/Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and welding various components to construct and repair ships. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other specifications to determine the layout of ship components
• Measure and cut metal components using manual and automated tools
• Weld components together using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets all specifications
• Repair and maintain welding equipment as needed
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures at all times
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the fabrication process
• Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in welding technology and techniques

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Shipbuilding Welder/Fabricator
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques
• Strong knowledge of blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with various types of welding equipment and tools
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time
