Overview: Community Development Council is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Community Education Specialist to join our team. As a Community Education Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting and facilitating educational programs and initiatives within the community. Your dedication to promoting education and building strong community partnerships will be key in achieving our mission of providing quality education to all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement community-based education programs and initiatives to support the educational goals of Community Development Council
• Identify and establish partnerships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to promote educational opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver educational materials and resources for the community
• Plan and coordinate community events and workshops to raise awareness and engage the community in educational activities
• Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in educational services and develop strategies to address them
• Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders and influencers to enhance the visibility and impact of our educational programs
• Evaluate the effectiveness of community education programs and make recommendations for improvement
• Develop and manage budgets for community education programs and ensure efficient utilization of resources
• Stay informed about current education trends and best practices to enhance program offerings and stay competitive in the industry
• Represent Community Development Council at community events and conferences to promote our educational initiatives and build partnerships
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop promotional materials and social media campaigns to raise awareness about our programs
• Monitor and report on program outcomes and impact, and provide regular updates to senior management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community education or outreach, preferably in a non-profit or educational setting
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing educational programs and initiatives
• Proven track record in building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of people
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with educational software and tools is a plus
• Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
• Passionate about promoting education and making a positive impact in the community
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required, to attend community events and workshops
