Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Soil and Groundwater Remediation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, chemistry, or engineering and a passion for environmental sustainability. As a Soil and Groundwater Remediation Technician, you will be responsible for conducting site investigations, collecting and analyzing soil and water samples, and implementing remediation strategies to restore contaminated sites to their natural state.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site investigations to determine the extent of contamination and identify potential risks to human health and the environment.
• Collect soil and water samples using various techniques, such as soil coring, groundwater sampling, and soil vapor extraction.
• Analyze samples in a laboratory setting and interpret data to determine the type and concentration of contaminants present.
• Develop and implement remediation plans based on site-specific conditions, regulatory requirements, and client needs.
• Operate and maintain equipment, such as pumps, air strippers, and soil vapor extraction systems, to remove contaminants from the soil and groundwater.
• Monitor and document remediation progress, including changes in contaminant levels and site conditions.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members and other professionals, such as geologists, engineers, and project managers, to develop and implement comprehensive remediation strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, or engineering.
• Previous experience in soil and groundwater remediation is preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, including CERCLA, RCRA, and ASTM.
• Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques and equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and work in the field, including potentially hazardous environments.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
