Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Position Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Overview: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees, as well as managing compliance with all environmental regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement company-wide environmental health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate these risks.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with all environmental permits and licenses.
• Coordinate and lead safety training programs for all employees, ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are understood and followed.
• Investigate and report on all workplace accidents and incidents, and develop and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with department managers to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
• Keep up-to-date with all relevant environmental and safety regulations, and provide guidance and support to ensure compliance.
• Manage and maintain all safety and environmental records and documentation.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and communicate safety updates and initiatives to all employees.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies, such as OSHA and the EPA, to ensure compliance and facilitate any necessary inspections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety protocols and procedures.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful safety programs.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
