Position: Logistics Coordinator

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor all incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to track shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking information, delivery dates, and any delays or discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and negotiate competitive pricing for transportation services.
• Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure proper inventory levels and accurate stock counts.
• Plan and schedule shipments based on customer orders and inventory availability.
• Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings through route optimization and carrier selection.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and monitor changes in laws and regulations that may affect the transportation process.
• Manage and maintain logistics software and systems to track shipments and generate reports.
• Provide regular updates to management on shipment status, inventory levels, and any issues that may impact operations.
• Collaborate with other departments, including sales and customer service, to address any transportation-related concerns or inquiries.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or transportation coordination.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in logistics software and systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings, as needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
