We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Steel Quality Control Inspector to join our team.

Position Overview: As a Steel Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all steel products meet the required quality standards before they are delivered to our clients. You will use your expertise in steel manufacturing processes and quality control techniques to inspect and test various steel products, including pipes, beams, and plates. You will work closely with our production team to identify and resolve any quality issues and ensure that our products meet the industry standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on steel products to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
• Perform various mechanical and non-destructive tests, such as hardness tests and ultrasonic testing, to verify the strength and integrity of the steel products.
• Review and interpret product specifications and blueprints to ensure the correct dimensions and tolerances are met.
• Identify and report any defects or non-conformities in the products and work with the production team to implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and reports.
• Monitor and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to continuously improve the quality control processes and procedures.
• Communicate with clients and provide them with quality assurance documentation and reports.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree or certification in quality control, metallurgy, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in steel quality control inspection.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of steel manufacturing processes, including welding, forging, and heat treatment.
• Familiarity with industry standards and specifications, such as ASTM, ASME, and API.
• Experience with various quality control tools and techniques, such as visual inspection, dimensional measurement, and non-destructive testing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in using inspection equipment and software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
