Job Title: Farm Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Farm Manager to oversee our farm operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, with a deep understanding of crop production, livestock management, and farm maintenance. The Farm Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the farm, including planning and implementing farm activities, overseeing farm staff, and ensuring the success and profitability of the farm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement farm plans, including crop rotation, planting schedules, and livestock management, to optimize production and yield
• Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of all farm animals, including proper feeding, vaccination, and disease prevention protocols
• Oversee and supervise farm staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, and implement best practices for sustainable farming
• Maintain accurate records of all farm activities, including inventory, expenses, and production levels
• Plan and manage farm budgets, monitor expenses, and make strategic decisions to maximize profitability
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and implement effective strategies to market farm products
• Conduct regular inspections of farm equipment and machinery, and schedule maintenance and repairs as needed
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in farming practices, and make recommendations for improvement and innovation on the farm
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, and promote a culture of teamwork and accountability among farm staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Farm Management, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management, with a proven track record of success
• Strong knowledge of crop production, livestock management, and farm maintenance best practices
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and make data-driven decisions
• Experience with budget management and financial analysis
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to farming
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work long and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
