Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement harvest plans in collaboration with the Farm Manager
Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the harvesting process, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and labor allocation
Monitor and report on crop quality and yields
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
Manage a team of harvest workers, providing direction and support as needed
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to harvest activities
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the harvest process
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of harvested crops
Continuously evaluate and improve harvest processes to increase efficiency and productivity
Train and mentor new harvest team members
Communicate regularly with senior management regarding harvest progress and any challenges or opportunities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a large-scale farming operation
Strong understanding of crop management and harvesting techniques
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding work environment
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team
Proficient in the use of agricultural equipment and technology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work long hours and weekends, as needed
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
