Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain databases, including data structures, tables, and views.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues to ensure optimal performance.
Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure data security and availability.
Evaluate and recommend necessary software and hardware upgrades to improve database performance and efficiency.
Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for data elements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements for new projects.
Develop and maintain database security and access controls to protect sensitive data.
Monitor database usage and provide recommendations for data consolidation and archiving.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology and make recommendations for their implementation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Database Admin or similar role.
Strong knowledge of database management systems, including SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle.
Proficient in database languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL.
Experience with database design, data modeling, and data warehousing.
Understanding of data security and backup/recovery procedures.
Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
