Position: Ship Captain

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ship Captain to join our team. As a Ship Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, ensuring compliance with all maritime regulations, and managing the crew.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely navigate the vessel to its destination, taking into account weather conditions, sea traffic, and potential hazards
• Ensure compliance with all international and local maritime laws and regulations
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of the vessel, including all mechanical, electrical, and navigational systems
• Lead and manage the crew, providing guidance and support as needed
• Monitor and manage the vessel's fuel, food, and other supplies
• Maintain accurate records of all voyages, including logs, cargo manifests, and crew reports
• Communicate with port authorities, other vessels, and on-shore personnel as needed
• Conduct safety drills and ensure all crew members are properly trained in emergency procedures
• Monitor and manage the vessel's budget, including expenses for supplies, maintenance, and crew salaries
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new regulations, and best practices

Qualifications:

• Valid Captain's license issued by a recognized maritime authority
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Ship Captain
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse crew
• Excellent navigational and communication abilities
• In-depth knowledge of maritime laws, regulations, and best practices
• Ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to work long hours and be away from home for extended periods of time
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
