Job Title: Transportation Education Specialist

The Transportation Education Specialist will play a critical role in developing and implementing educational programs and initiatives related to transportation. This position will require a highly motivated and organized individual who is passionate about educating others and creating positive change in the transportation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement transportation education programs for various target audiences, including students, educators, and community members.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that educational programs align with industry standards and meet the needs of the intended audience.
• Research and stay up-to-date on current transportation trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure that educational programs are relevant and effective.
• Create engaging and interactive educational materials, including presentations, lesson plans, and activities.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for students, teachers, and other community members on various transportation-related topics.
• Coordinate and lead field trips to transportation facilities and other relevant locations to provide hands-on learning opportunities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through surveys, assessments, and other feedback methods.
• Develop relationships with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote and expand the reach of transportation education programs.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate transportation education into various initiatives and events.
• Participate in conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities to stay current in the field of transportation education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in transportation, education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation education or a related field.
• Knowledge of current transportation trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with program development and evaluation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Passionate about education and creating positive change in the transportation industry.
