Job Title: Wine & Spirits Consultant

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Wine & Spirits Consultant to join our team. As a Wine & Spirits Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and expertise in all aspects of wine and spirits. You will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and preferences, and make recommendations to enhance their overall experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner
• Understand and anticipate customer needs and provide personalized recommendations
• Educate customers about different types of wine and spirits, including origins, flavor profiles, and pairings
• Assist customers in selecting the perfect wine or spirit for any occasion
• Stay updated on industry trends and new products to provide the most current and accurate information to customers
• Offer samples and tastings to customers to showcase featured products
• Manage inventory and ensure shelves are fully stocked at all times
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with team members to create attractive displays and promotions
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or hospitality setting
• Extensive knowledge of wines and spirits, including varietals, regions, and production methods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service orientation with a passion for providing exceptional service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
• Proficient in basic math and computer skills
• Must possess or obtain a current alcohol serving license/certification
