Job Title: Railroad Operations Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Railroad Operations Specialist to join our team. As a Railroad Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of railroad operations, including safety, efficiency, and productivity. You will work closely with various departments and stakeholders to ensure that our railroad operations run smoothly and meet all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement operational plans and strategies to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the railroad.
• Monitor and analyze operational performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with various departments, including maintenance, engineering, and dispatch, to coordinate and optimize railroad operations.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and safety standards.
• Develop and implement training programs for employees to ensure they are up to date on all safety procedures and regulations.
• Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of trains, ensuring timely and safe movement of freight and passengers.
• Monitor and analyze budget and expenses related to railroad operations and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery and address any concerns or issues.
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve railroad operations.
• Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in railroad operations, preferably in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of railroad safety standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and railroad operations software.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
