Job Title: Petroleum Geologist

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Petroleum Geologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geology and a passion for the oil and gas industry. As a Petroleum Geologist, you will play a critical role in identifying potential oil and gas reserves, analyzing data, and providing valuable insights to support our company's exploration and production efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough geological analyses and evaluations to identify potential oil and gas reserves
• Utilize advanced geological software and tools to interpret and visualize data
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, geophysicists, and land personnel to develop well plans
• Monitor and analyze drilling and production activities to assess the performance of existing wells
• Conduct field studies and research to stay informed on the latest developments and technologies in the industry
• Evaluate risk and make recommendations for drilling locations and production strategies
• Communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders through presentations and reports
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations in all activities
• Mentor and train junior geologists to develop their technical skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in petroleum geology
• Extensive knowledge of geological mapping, stratigraphy, and structural geology
• Proficient in using geological software and tools such as Petrel, Kingdom, and GIS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as needed
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
