Overview: Cheers Vine is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wine & Spirits Buyer to join our team. As a leader in the retail industry, we pride ourselves on offering our customers a wide selection of high-quality wine and spirits. The Wine & Spirits Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing a diverse range of wines and spirits from various suppliers. This role requires a strong understanding of the industry and a passion for wine and spirits.

Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase a wide variety of wines and spirits from various suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, as well as identify and onboard new suppliers
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market conditions
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and initiatives for wine and spirits
• Monitor inventory levels and make purchasing decisions based on sales trends and customer demand
• Analyze sales data to identify top-selling products and make recommendations for product assortment
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to stores
• Attend trade shows and industry events to network and stay informed about new products and suppliers
• Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities and potential partnerships
• Manage and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the sale of alcohol

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in wine and spirits buying
• Strong understanding of the wine and spirits industry, including knowledge of popular brands, producers, and regions
• Proven negotiation and purchasing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license
• Ability to travel as needed for trade shows and industry events
