Job Description: We are looking for a responsible and experienced Public Transportation Driver to join our team. As a Public Transportation Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting passengers to their desired destinations. You will be the face of our company and play a vital role in providing excellent customer service to our passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a public transportation vehicle, following all traffic laws and regulations
• Greet passengers in a friendly and professional manner and assist them with boarding and exiting the vehicle
• Collect fares and issue tickets or tokens to passengers
• Follow assigned routes and adhere to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times
• Provide accurate information to passengers regarding routes, schedules, and fares
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained at all times
• Report any vehicle malfunctions or incidents to the appropriate authorities
• Maintain a positive working relationship with passengers, fellow drivers, and other staff members
• Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional driver, preferably in public transportation
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Physical ability to sit for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus
