Position Summary: As a GCP Cloud Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth functioning of our cloud environment and provide technical guidance and leadership to our operations team. This is a high-visibility role that requires a strong understanding of GCP, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of our GCP infrastructure, ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of our GCP environment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot any issues that arise in the GCP infrastructure, and work with the operations team to resolve them in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions to improve the overall performance and stability of our GCP environment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the operations team, helping them develop their skills and knowledge of GCP.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP technologies and trends, and recommend new tools and technologies to improve our operations.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to the GCP infrastructure, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Work closely with the security team to ensure that all security protocols and best practices are followed in the GCP environment.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for GCP services and resources.
• Participate in on-call rotations and be available to handle any urgent issues that may arise outside of business hours.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing GCP infrastructure and operations.
• Strong experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing highly available and scalable GCP environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and analyze complex issues.
• Strong understanding of networking and security principles in a GCP environment.
• Experience with automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience in managing and developing a team of technical professionals.
• GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer is a plus.
