Position Overview: The Student Affairs Director is a key leadership role within Sahara Tech University. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the student affairs department, including but not limited to student services, programs, and initiatives. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and strategic leader, with a passion for student development and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to enhance the overall student experience and promote student success.
• Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of student services and programs.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of student affairs staff.
• Manage the department budget and allocate resources effectively to support student needs.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and inclusive campus environment for students.
• Coordinate and supervise student activities and events, including orientation, leadership development, and student organizations.
• Serve as a liaison between students and the institution's administration, advocating for student needs and concerns.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations to enhance student opportunities and resources.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in student affairs, and make recommendations for improvements to current programs and services.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to student affairs.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in student affairs, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of current trends and issues in higher education and student affairs.
• Familiarity with student development theories and their application in a higher education setting.
