Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain our database platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Monitor and analyze database performance to identify and resolve any issues.
Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity.
Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database structures and schemas.
Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexes, and database configurations.
Identify and implement database upgrades and patches as needed.
Develop and maintain database documentation, policies, and procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
Work with infrastructure teams to plan and implement database migrations and upgrades.
Provide on-call support for any database emergencies or critical issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
Strong knowledge of database management systems, such as MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle.
Experience with database administration tools, such as SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor, and Enterprise Manager.
Experience in database design, data modeling, and performance tuning.
Knowledge of database security and backup procedures.
Familiarity with database replication and disaster recovery strategies.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
