Position: Cattle Wrangler

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cattle Wrangler to join our team and contribute to the success of our operations.

Job Overview: As a Cattle Wrangler, you will be responsible for managing and caring for our herd of cattle. Your primary duties will include feeding, herding, and monitoring the health and well-being of our cattle. You will also assist with breeding and calving, as well as maintaining the ranch's facilities and equipment. This role requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a genuine love for working with animals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Feed and water cattle on a daily basis, ensuring they have an adequate and balanced diet
• Monitor the health of cattle and administer medications or treatments as needed
• Herd cattle to and from designated areas using horses, vehicles, or other equipment
• Assist with breeding and calving operations, including assisting with artificial insemination and delivering newborn calves
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cattle pens, corrals, and other ranch facilities
• Repair and maintain ranch equipment, such as fences, gates, and water troughs
• Monitor and report any issues or concerns with cattle, facilities, or equipment to the ranch manager
• Follow all safety protocols and animal welfare guidelines to ensure the well-being of the cattle and yourself
• Work closely with other ranch staff to ensure efficient and effective operations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with cattle is required
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to ride and handle horses is preferred
• Knowledge of basic animal husbandry and health care is a plus
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
