Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the steel plant
Oversee all aspects of production, including scheduling, inventory management, and quality control
Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to optimize production and meet targets
Manage the plant's budget and ensure cost-effective operations
Create and maintain a safe working environment for all employees by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and customers
Lead a team of supervisors and employees, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high levels of productivity and performance
Coordinate with other departments and teams within the company to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products
Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity
Stay current with industry developments, trends, and best practices to drive innovation and improvement within the plant
Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees
Prepare and present reports to upper management on plant performance, progress, and challenges

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership role within a steel manufacturing plant
Strong knowledge of steel production processes and equipment
Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing production operations
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
