Salary: USD: $40,000 - $70,000 per year (base salary + commission)

Job Overview: As the Veterinary Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our veterinary services, including managing our team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients, and maintaining efficient operations within the department. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of our services and enhance the overall customer experience. This is a leadership role that requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of veterinary medicine and animal care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality veterinary services.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient operations within the veterinary department.
• Oversee the scheduling of appointments and procedures, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, ordering necessary items as needed.
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of our services and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to animal care and veterinary services.
• Manage the budget for the veterinary department, ensuring financial goals are met and expenses are kept within budget.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and make recommendations for incorporating new technologies and treatments into our services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing for medical supplies and equipment.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns, seeking to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide support and assistance to veterinarians and technicians as needed, including assisting with surgeries or procedures if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and procedures, as well as industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact.
• Proficiency in computer systems and veterinary management software.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
