Job Title: Philanthropy Director

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Philanthropy Director to lead our organization's fundraising efforts and drive our philanthropic initiatives. As the Philanthropy Director, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to secure major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships to support our mission and programs. This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of successful fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive philanthropy strategy to support the organization's goals and objectives
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners to secure major gifts and grants
• Oversee all aspects of major gift fundraising, including prospect research, proposal development, donor stewardship, and gift acknowledgement
• Work closely with the Board of Directors, CEO, and other key stakeholders to engage and solicit support from high-level donors
• Develop and maintain a portfolio of major donors, ensuring timely and meaningful communication and engagement
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create compelling fundraising materials and campaigns
• Manage the organization's grant writing process, including prospect research, proposal writing, and reporting
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate partners to secure sponsorships and other forms of support
• Plan and execute fundraising events, including donor cultivation events, galas, and other special events
• Monitor and report on fundraising progress, providing regular updates to the CEO and Board of Directors
• Stay up-to-date with philanthropy trends, best practices, and compliance regulations to ensure the organization's fundraising efforts are effective and ethical

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a fundraising leadership role, preferably in the nonprofit sector
• Proven track record of success in securing major gifts and grants from individuals, foundations, and corporations
• Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive philanthropy strategies
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders
• Exceptional writing skills with experience in grant writing and proposal development
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Passion for the organization's mission and ability to effectively communicate its impact to donors and partners
• Knowledge of fundraising software and donor management systems is preferred
