Position: Electrical Power Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Power Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical Power Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical power systems for our company. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the field of electrical engineering and have a strong background in power systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical power systems for various projects, including power generation, transmission, and distribution systems
• Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solutions for electrical power systems
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation for electrical power systems
• Collaborate with other engineers and professionals to ensure the integration and compatibility of electrical power systems with other components
• Perform calculations and simulations to analyze the performance and reliability of electrical power systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical power systems
• Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and regulations to ensure compliance and incorporate the latest technologies into designs
• Manage and oversee construction and installation of electrical power systems
• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical power systems to ensure functionality and safety
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and departments as needed
• Participate in project meetings and communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders
• Ensure that all work is completed within budget, on time, and in accordance with quality standards and specifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing electrical power systems
• Strong knowledge of power system analysis, including load flow, short-circuit, and protective coordination studies
• Proficiency in using electrical engineering software such as ETAP, SKM, or PSS/E
• Experience with AutoCAD or other computer-aided design (CAD) software
• In-depth understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations, such as NEC, NESC, and IEEE
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Project management experience is a plus
