As a Deli Associate, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that our customers receive the best shopping experience and the freshest deli products.

Job Overview: We are seeking a friendly, customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving deli items, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a clean and organized deli department. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all deli products are fresh, properly labeled, and well-stocked.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and other deli meats and cheeses according to company standards and customer requests
• Greet and assist customers with their deli purchases, providing accurate information about products and offering suggestions as needed
• Operate deli equipment, such as slicers and food processors, in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure that all deli products are fresh, properly labeled, and well-stocked at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli department, including cleaning counters, equipment, and display cases
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic deli department
• Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Assist in receiving and stocking deli products, rotating and checking for expiration dates as needed
• Participate in training and development programs to continuously improve product knowledge and customer service skills

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous deli or food service experience is preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
