Job Title: Data Storage Consultant

Position Overview: As a Data Storage Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the storage of large amounts of data for our clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their data storage needs and provide solutions that meet their objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of data storage technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their data storage requirements and develop customized solutions to meet their needs
• Conduct data storage assessments and provide recommendations for improving efficiency and reducing costs
• Design and implement data storage solutions, including hardware and software configurations
• Monitor and troubleshoot data storage systems, ensuring optimal performance and uptime
• Develop and maintain storage policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security
• Conduct data migrations from legacy systems to new storage solutions
• Provide technical support and training to clients on data storage systems and processes
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data storage technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data storage systems with other technologies and applications
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all data storage processes and configurations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data storage management and consulting
• Strong understanding of data storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, DAS, Cloud Storage, and Backup and Recovery solutions
• Experience with storage management tools such as NetApp, EMC, or IBM
• Proven track record of successfully implementing data storage solutions for clients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations is a plus
• Relevant certifications, such as NetApp Certified Data Management Administrator (NCDA) or EMC Storage Administrator (EMCSA), is preferred
