Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all aspects of the dairy farm operations, including milk production, herd health, and farm maintenance.
Supervise and train a team of dairy farmers, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the farm.
Implement and maintain proper feeding, milking, and breeding schedules to optimize the health and productivity of the dairy herd.
Monitor the health and well-being of the dairy herd, identifying and addressing any health issues or concerns in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain records of all herd activities, including milk production, breeding, and health records.
Maintain and enforce strict biosecurity protocols to prevent the spread of diseases and maintain the health of the dairy herd.
Manage the procurement and inventory of all necessary supplies and equipment for the dairy farm.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm equipment, ensuring that all equipment is in proper working condition.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the safety of all employees and animals on the farm.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in dairy farming practices, and implement best practices to improve the efficiency and productivity of the farm.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in animal science, dairy science, or a related field.
5 of experience in dairy farming, with at least 5 in a management role.
Strong knowledge of dairy farming practices, herd health, and milk production.
Proven experience in managing and leading a team of dairy farmers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficient in the use of farm equipment and technology.
Ability to work long hours and perform physically demanding tasks.
Passion for animal welfare and commitment to maintaining high animal husbandry standards.
