As a Carpenter, you will work on construction sites, both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions. You may also be required to work at heights and in confined spaces. The job may involve physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy materials and operating power tools. You may also be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet project deadlines. Job Title: Carpenter

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team and help us deliver high-quality construction projects. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. You will work closely with our project managers and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using rulers, pencils, chalk, and marking gauges
• Cut, shape, and smooth materials using hand and power tools, such as saws, chisels, planes, and sanders
• Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using carpenter's hand and power tools
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards
• Communicate effectively with project managers and other team members to discuss project progress and any issues that may arise
• Ensure that all work is in accordance with local building codes and regulations

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, as well as construction materials, tools, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Proficient in using hand and power tools
• Excellent mathematical skills and ability to accurately measure and cut materials
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in carpentry is a plus
