Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating and implementing sustainability initiatives to minimize our organization's impact on the environment. You will be responsible for identifying areas of improvement, developing and implementing strategies, and monitoring progress towards our sustainability goals. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment and have a strong background in sustainability and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analyze data to identify areas of potential environmental impact within our organization
• Develop and implement sustainability strategies and action plans to reduce our carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sustainability initiatives are integrated into all aspects of our organization's operations
• Monitor and track progress towards sustainability goals and report on key metrics to stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to environmental sustainability and make recommendations for improvement
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve sustainability efforts
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as government agencies and environmental organizations, to support sustainability initiatives
• Educate and train employees on sustainability best practices and promote a culture of sustainability within the organization
• Participate in community outreach and engagement activities to raise awareness and promote environmental sustainability

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental sustainability, preferably in a corporate setting
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability initiatives
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and make recommendations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Passion for environmental sustainability and making a positive impact on the environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with sustainability software and tools is preferred
• Knowledge of LEED certification and other sustainability certifications is a plus
