Position: Building Materials Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description: Our company is seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to join our team as a Building Materials Warehouse Supervisor. As the supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all building materials are received, stored, and shipped efficiently and accurately. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of warehouse employees, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee the receiving, storage, and shipping of building materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock levels to meet customer demand.
• Implement and maintain effective warehouse procedures to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate shipping and receiving schedules and resolve any issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other warehouse-related activities.
• Prepare and submit reports to management on warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Train and educate warehouse staff on safety procedures, proper handling of materials, and efficient warehouse practices.
• Continuously look for ways to streamline processes and improve warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and warehouse operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Forklift certification and experience operating other warehouse equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
