Position: Postal Delivery Driver

Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and efficient Postal Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Postal Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages to our customers. You will be responsible for driving a designated route, delivering and collecting mail and packages, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and pickups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a postal delivery vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations
• Load and unload mail and packages from the vehicle at designated stops
• Sort and organize mail and packages for efficient delivery
• Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial customers along designated routes
• Collect outgoing mail and packages from customers and post offices
• Obtain signatures and payments for special delivery services, if required
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including tracking numbers, addresses, and delivery times
• Report any discrepancies or issues with deliveries to the appropriate supervisor
• Follow all postal regulations and guidelines for secure handling and delivery of mail and packages
• Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery vehicle
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any customer inquiries or concerns

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Prior experience in a delivery or driving role preferred
• Familiarity with local roads and neighborhoods
• Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
