Job Title: Big Data Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Big Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our big data infrastructure. You will work closely with our data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our big data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build large-scale, distributed, and high-performance data processing systems using Hadoop, Spark, and other big data technologies
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for streaming and batch processing of structured and unstructured data
• Optimize data storage and retrieval for maximum performance and scalability
• Monitor and troubleshoot the performance and health of our big data systems
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and provide scalable solutions
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate big data solutions into our existing software applications
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in big data technologies and make recommendations for improvements to our systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Big Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Extensive experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, HBase, etc.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
• Experience with cloud-based big data platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
