Job Description: As an Academic Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping our students succeed academically. You will be responsible for providing academic support services to students, including tutoring, study skills development, and academic counseling. You will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to identify and address academic challenges and develop strategies to help students achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions to students in various subjects, including math, science, and English.
• Facilitate study skills workshops to help students improve their time management, note-taking, and test-taking skills.
• Conduct academic counseling sessions with students to identify academic challenges and develop action plans to overcome them.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop and implement strategies to support students with learning disabilities or other academic needs.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student progress and academic support services provided.
• Assist in the development and implementation of academic support programs to enhance student success.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in academic support services to continuously improve the quality of services provided.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
• Previous experience in academic support services, tutoring, or teaching is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of academic support strategies and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in using technology and learning management systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
