Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine and non-routine analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using a variety of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, and wet chemistry
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and precision of test results
Review and interpret test results, and compare them against established specifications and acceptance criteria
Investigate and troubleshoot any out-of-specification results and perform root cause analysis to determine the source of the issue
Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed records of all test results, procedures, and equipment maintenance
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely release of products and to address any quality-related issues
Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with cGMP and other regulatory requirements
Participate in method and process validation studies to ensure accuracy and reliability of test methods
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of quality control processes
Train and mentor junior laboratory staff, as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality control laboratory, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
Strong knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, and wet chemistry
Familiarity with cGMP and other regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical products
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
