Position: Data Test Engineer

Job Description: As a Data Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of our data systems. Your primary role will involve designing, developing, and executing various tests to validate data quality, integrity, and functionality. You will work closely with the data engineering team to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement testing strategies for data systems, including ETL processes, data pipelines, data warehouses, and databases.
• Design and execute test cases to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Identify and report data anomalies, errors, and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with data engineers to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions.
• Develop and maintain test scripts, tools, and frameworks to automate testing processes.
• Conduct performance testing to ensure data systems can handle large volumes of data.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide feedback on data quality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on data-related issues.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and trends in data testing and implement them in our processes.
• Provide regular status updates and reports on testing progress and results.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely resolutions to data-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Test Engineer or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JMeter, or Postman.
• Experience with ETL testing, data validation, and data mapping.
• Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
