Position: Philanthropy Director

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Philanthropy Director to join our organization. As the Philanthropy Director, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategic plan to raise funds and cultivate relationships with donors. You will oversee all aspects of our philanthropy program, including major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, and special events. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for philanthropy and a proven track record of successful fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the organization's mission and goals
• Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, corporations, foundations, and other potential funding sources
• Create and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, providing personalized stewardship and cultivation strategies
• Lead the planning and execution of all fundraising events, including but not limited to galas, auctions, and donor appreciation events
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop messaging and materials that effectively communicate the organization's impact and fundraising needs
• Work closely with the Board of Directors to engage and leverage their networks for fundraising opportunities
• Manage and mentor a team of fundraising professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team goals
• Utilize data and analytics to track progress and make informed decisions to drive fundraising success
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in philanthropy and fundraising to continuously improve the organization's fundraising efforts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in philanthropy, major gifts, or fundraising
• Proven track record of successful fundraising and meeting fundraising goals
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute fundraising plans
• Proficient in using data and analytics to inform decision-making
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Passion for philanthropy and a commitment to the organization's mission
