Position Title: Agricultural Animal Production Coordinator

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Animal Production Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal science and production, with a passion for sustainable agriculture and animal welfare. As the Agricultural Animal Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of animal production on our farm, including herd management, breeding, nutrition, and health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans for our farm's animal population, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and sustainability are maintained.
• Oversee the daily care and management of all animals on the farm, including feedings, vaccinations, and health checks.
• Monitor herd health and identify and address any health issues or concerns in a timely manner.
• Coordinate breeding programs and manage breeding records to ensure the health and productivity of our animal population.
• Work closely with veterinarians and nutritionists to develop and implement herd health and nutrition programs.
• Maintain accurate records of animal inventory, production, and financial data.
• Monitor market trends and make recommendations for improvements in production methods and efficiencies.
• Manage and maintain all equipment and facilities used in animal production, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Train and supervise farm staff on proper animal handling, care, and production techniques.
• Collaborate with other departments and teams on the farm to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in animal production, preferably in a farm setting.
• Strong knowledge of animal health, nutrition, and breeding techniques.
• Understanding of sustainable agriculture practices and animal welfare standards.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
