Position: Data Developer
Location: New York, New York, United States
Salary: $92 Per hour
Employment Type: Contract
About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Data Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company's data systems. Your main goal will be to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our data processes, as well as finding innovative ways to utilize data to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain efficient data systems, including data warehouses, databases, and data pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and requirements
- Develop and implement data models, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Create and maintain data pipelines to process and transform data for various data-driven applications
- Monitor data systems and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform and load data from different sources
- Optimize and tune data systems for improved performance and scalability
- Develop and maintain documentation for data systems and processes
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data management and analysis
- Mentor and train junior data developers as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- years of experience as a Data Developer or in a similar role
- Strong experience with SQL and database design
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large and complex datasets
- Good communication and teamwork skills
