Job Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Big Data Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our big data infrastructure and systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our data is organized, accessible, and secure, allowing our clients to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain big data solutions to meet business needs
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and implement solutions
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing data governance processes
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation
- Optimize and tune performance of big data systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in big data technologies
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when needed
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing big data solutions
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
- Strong knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
