Position: Big Data Developer
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $190000 - $224000
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Big Data Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data processing systems. Your main focus will be on creating and maintaining the infrastructure for data ingestion, storage, and retrieval. You will also be responsible for developing data pipelines, data analytics, and real-time data processing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement data processing systems using Hadoop, Spark, and other Big Data technologies.
- Develop data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, process, and store large volumes of data.
- Participate in the design and architecture discussions to ensure scalable and efficient data solutions.
- Work closely with Data Scientists to develop data analytics and machine learning models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and gather data requirements.
- Optimize and tune data processing jobs for optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data processing and storage.
- Develop and maintain data quality and data governance standards.
- Stay updated with the latest Big Data technologies and trends and make recommendations for their implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of years of experience in Big Data development.
- Strong experience with Hadoop, Spark, and other Big Data technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Scala, or Python.
- Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or DataStage.
- Knowledge of SQL and database technologies like Oracle, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
