Position: Python ETL Developer
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $171000 - $208000
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Python ETL Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. You will work closely with our data engineers and business analysts to understand the data requirements and develop efficient ETL solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain ETL processes using Python and related technologies
- Collaborate with data engineers to understand and integrate data from various sources
- Work closely with business analysts to gather data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Develop data mappings and transformations to ensure data quality and consistency
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to identify and resolve any issues
- Optimize ETL jobs for performance and scalability
- Create and maintain documentation for ETL processes and data flows
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve ETL processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ETL development using Python
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Airflow, Talend, or Informatica
- Proficiency in data manipulation and transformation using Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy, etc.)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
