Job Title: SQL Server Developer
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $152000 - $192000
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server Developer to join our dynamic team. As a SQL Server Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases and applications to support our business needs. You will work closely with our team of developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and applications for data storage and retrieval
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support business requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and data integrity issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements
- Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies
- Monitor database systems to ensure optimal performance and identify areas for improvement
- Create and maintain technical documentation for database design and processes
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in SQL database development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a SQL Server Developer or similar role
- Proficient in database design and development using SQL Server
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL and stored procedures
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization
- Familiarity with database backup and recovery strategies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft SQL Server certification
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
- Experience with other database technologies such as MySQL or Oracle
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
