Job Title: Junior Data Engineer
Location: New York, New York, United States
Salary: $69 Per hour
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Data Engineer to join our growing team. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of our data infrastructure. You will work closely with our data scientists and analysts to ensure that our data systems are efficient, accurate, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of our data warehouse and data pipelines
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and develop solutions
- Develop and implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner
- Monitor and optimize data infrastructure performance
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance data processes and systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in data engineering or a related role
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database design principles
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration techniques
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
