Job overview: We are seeking an experienced and innovative Lead Natural Language Processing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) solutions for our company. As the Lead NLP Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that will have a direct impact on our products and services.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of NLP engineers, providing mentorship and guidance to drive successful project outcomes.
• Develop and implement NLP models and algorithms that can handle large volumes of unstructured data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define business requirements for NLP solutions.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify the most suitable NLP techniques and technologies for each project.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in NLP and apply them to improve our existing NLP solutions.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of NLP models and make necessary adjustments to ensure their accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain tools and systems to support NLP model training, testing, and deployment.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team in areas such as data preprocessing, feature extraction, and model evaluation.
• Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into NLP solutions.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in NLP development, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of NLP concepts and techniques such as sentiment analysis, text classification, information retrieval, and natural language understanding.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and experience with NLP libraries and frameworks such as NLTK, spaCy, or TensorFlow.
• Experience with machine learning and deep learning algorithms and frameworks.
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature extraction, and model evaluation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
