Job Title: Principal Cloud Architect

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $135 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing our company's cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for staying on top of the latest industry trends and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions for our company.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead the design and implementation of cloud migration strategies to move existing on-premises applications to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture principles, standards, and best practices.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of emerging cloud technologies and make recommendations for their integration into our environment.
• Define and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of our company's data and systems.
• Act as a subject matter expert for all cloud-related initiatives and provide guidance and support to other members of the team.
• Monitor the performance of our cloud environment and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure the smooth operation and integration of cloud technologies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies and share knowledge with the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Excellent understanding of networking and security principles in a cloud environment.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Relevant certifications in cloud computing, such as AWS Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus.
