Position: Junior IT Support Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $46 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT department. As a Junior IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our internal team members. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company's technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to and resolve technical issues reported by team members in a timely and efficient manner
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on computer systems, including updates and virus scans
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and escalate to senior team members as needed
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of company email accounts and user access
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement new technology solutions
• Keep accurate records of all technical issues and resolutions in our ticketing system
• Provide training and support to team members on company technology and systems
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to make recommendations for system improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems
• Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based applications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Relevant certifications, such as A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), are a plus
