Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Cloud Data Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Lead Cloud Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing our cloud-based data solutions. You will lead a team of data engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of data-driven solutions. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of data engineers and provide mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the team's success
• Design, develop, and implement scalable and reliable cloud-based data solutions using cutting-edge technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and developers, to understand data requirements and develop robust solutions
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements, define project scope, and deliver solutions that meet their needs
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data
• Optimize data storage and processing to improve performance and reduce costs
• Monitor and troubleshoot data issues, and proactively identify and implement solutions to prevent future problems
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and techniques in the data engineering space and recommend their adoption to enhance our data capabilities
• Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, technical specifications, and best practices, to ensure the accessibility and understanding of data within the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based solutions
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and their services such as S3, EC2, and Redshift
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of data engineers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Self-driven and able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Experience in Agile methodologies and project management is a plus
