Position: API Developer
Location: New York, New York, United States
Salary: $92 Per hour
The API Developer will play a crucial role in our company's digital transformation and success. As an API Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs that power our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into functional APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain APIs using industry best practices and standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs
- Develop and maintain API documentation for internal and external use
- Ensure the security and performance of APIs by implementing appropriate measures
- Troubleshoot and debug API-related issues
- Continuously monitor and optimize API performance
- Stay updated with the latest API trends and technologies and make recommendations for improvements
- Work closely with front-end and back-end developers to integrate APIs into applications
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in API development
- Strong knowledge of API design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Hands-on experience with API development tools and technologies such as REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, etc.
- Experience with API management platforms and tools such as Postman, Swagger, etc.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, etc.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of database management and SQL
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
