Position: Principal Data Analytics Engineer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $135 Per hour

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Data Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Data Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex data analytics solutions to drive business insights and decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to develop and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouses to support data analytics and reporting needs
• Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Build and maintain data models to support reporting and data visualization tools
• Develop and implement data quality and validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of data
• Identify and implement data governance strategies to ensure data security and compliance
• Mentor and lead a team of data engineers to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data analytics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide analytical insights to drive business decisions
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data analytics
• Proven experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL scripting
• Strong experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• In-depth knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Experience in leading and mentoring a team is preferred
