Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Big Data Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Big Data Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's big data infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, optimize, and scale our big data solutions to support our business needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of big data technologies, strong leadership skills, and a passion for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and implement scalable and reliable big data solutions to support our organization's business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business analysts, to understand data requirements and develop solutions.
• Lead the design and architecture of data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure efficient data processing and storage.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging big data technologies and tools to improve our data infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team to ensure best practices are followed and projects are delivered on time.
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Work with stakeholders to define and prioritize data requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation of data infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to big data solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in big data technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and implementing big data solutions.
• Strong knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud-based big data solutions, preferably on AWS.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex big data projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with data governance and data security.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
